Prunella vulgaris

This is one of those herbs that often gets overlooked due to their smallness, but sometimes the smallest things can have the biggest effects. And so it is with a Self Heal. This is little purple flower asks us to come back and reach out from our centers, so that we can ripple out in a more grounded way.

.

When our energy is chaotic, full of angst and anxiety, we are like a shotgun that has no control over what it hits, usually causing harm to ourselves and others. Having Mars in Virgo, it is easy for me to be hot-headed, impatient, and quick to rash decisions out of anxiety. Afterwards, when my temper cools and I’m able to take a little space, I more often than not feel regret and sorrow.

.

Taking a moment to regroup, breathe deeply, and come back to your center allows for more spaciousness and clarity. This is what Prunella asks of us: to remember to that each action, no matter how small, has a greater impact by rippling outward. When the action comes from a centered, grounded space the impact can be beneficial, constructive, and nourishing.

.

Come back to your center and ripple out from there.
